
N.S.S
There are three N.S.S. Units (Two for boys and One for girls) in Rajsunakala College each with 50 members of the roll. The N.S.S. has been introduced in this college since 1980 to promote national consciousness and to inclucate a sense of social responsibility, discipline and dignity among the students with the motto of �Not me but you�.
Specific Objectives
The specific objectives of the N.S.S. are to stimulate Social consciousnes and provide the students with the following opportunities:
* To work with and among the people.
* To engage in non-violent and constructive social activities.
* To enhance the student�s knowledge of himself/herself and the community through a confrontation with really.
* To put the students scholarship to practical use in mitigating atleast some of the social problems, and
* To gain skills in the exercise of democratic leadership.
How to join
Students who desire voluntarily to join N.S.S. are to apply in plain paper in the prescribed application form. Such application should be submitted to programme Officers. N.S.S. for selection. The volunter will be supplied with N.S.S. identity cards, work diary and badges after selection. Plans and projects are taken up periodically on Sundays, holidays and during the puja holidays, the Christmas and Summber Vacation Special Camps for volunteers will be held mostly in rural areas.
